summertime and the living is easy….

we love those warm days!   they give us a reason to relax at the beach, take mini-vacations & allow our crown chakras to bask in the sun.  We are so grateful. 🙂

summertime is such a great time to reconnect with mother earth, being at one with nature is very nurturing to our body mind and soul.

traveling is very popular during the summer and some of us love to observe what flowering plants are indigenous to the areas that we visit.  our planet is so vast and has such a beautiful garden that is unique in each landscape in every city, state and country.   there are so many amazing plants to learn about and enjoy.

plants and flowers have been used for their medicinal purposes for centuries.  essential oils come from many parts of the plants, flowers and trees.  each essential oil is unique and has its own special healing properties.

sage, as an example is one plant that has many different varieties as well as a variety of uses.  we grow sage as a kitchen herb; and use it dried and fresh.  it cleanses our environment by burning dried bunches.  clary sage essential oil has a calming influence on the nerves, emotions, female functions, kidneys and digestive system.  salvia and “sage” are derived from the latin word, salvere (to save), referring to the healing properties long attributed to the various salvia species.  it has been grown & used medicinally for centuries in food and it has been described in ancient texts about the miraculous healing properties attributed to sage.

enjoy the beautiful month of june and happy summer solstice!
