…to be joyful, grateful, blessed and loved! Most of us have had the opportunity to watch the wonderment of children all around the world, awaiting St. Nick. There is something really amazing about having so much enthusiasm while waiting for the magic to happen. If we all had more enthusiasm in our daily lives, you could imagine what a wonderful world it would be? As the song Louis Armstrong sings, as he tells us that it’s the simple things. “I see trees of green… red roses too, I see em bloom…for me and for you, And I think to myself…. what a wonderful world”. When we take notice, have awareness and appreciate what we have, life seems to go along a lot better and with more ease.
There is something special, magical and holy about this time of year. Can we reclaim our wonderment like a child? Are we generous enough to share a smile with someone who needs one? Can we live in the present, it is a gift!
The holiday season has many opportunities to be helpful, joyful, kind, forgiving and renewing. It is special and it’s filled with love, joy, laughter, excitement and new beginnings. Even Jack Frost nipping at our noses tells us something magical and wonderful is in the air. It’s all around us, we just need to look and believe in the positive and the limitless.
We are all one and when we start to create that as a part of our daily life and include others into our lives in simple ways such as offering a smile or responding delightfully to someone we don’t know “hello or how are you?” It’s the simple acts of kindness that can change someone’s day, life and the world.
