Henry David Thoreau was born in 1817, and he was ahead of his time. He was one of our earliest environmentalists. A true naturalist who enjoyed hiking and conserving natural resources, his book, Walden was a reflection on living simply in natural surroundings. I wonder what changes he would make and how he would create awareness in our current environment.
In present time, this year is coming to a close and it seems like time flew! And I ask myself, how can we as humans live a better, simpler life, with more ease and more time to enjoy? It starts with each one of us having the awareness and making choices and changes in our own lives. Change has to start within each of us and grow from there. It’s fun and inspiring to see things change and change is the one thing that is certain in all of our lives. The seasons change and so do we. And now the holidays are here and there is good cheer all around us! We have much to be grateful for each and everyday and we need to focus on what’s good and what we are grateful for.
