We are all unique! And no two are alike; people, snowflakes, flowers, sunsets, smiles, roses…
Each one of us is perfectly designed, our own personal version of a one of a kind design. Just like diamonds have many different facets and flowers have many petals, leaves, colors and healing properties.
A good example is lavender, there are over 600 varieties and each plant is unique. Even if they are growing right next to each other within inches they are completely different. Like siblings that grow up in the same house with the same parents but each one of them is unique. We are all amazing!
Marianne Williamson says it the best “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
As we are all waking up and asking ourselves many questions about who we are, we are naturally starting to gravitate toward the answers we are looking for. They may come in front of us in the form of a song, an email with the perfect words or a phone call from a friend. Or perhaps we get a message while driving. We receive our answers in many ways and most of the time when we least expect it. Learning to become open and receive is important and empowering on a spiritual path.
We are all here to support each other on our life path. We reflect each other and tend to gravitate toward like-minded people. Sometimes we also attract adversity so that we can learn. Some of our best teachers are the most challenging people we know. Love them anyway!
It’s fascinating to become aware of our own uniqueness as human beings. It’s always great conversing with a new friend to discover all of the similarities, it allows us to feel connected and understood. We all need to feel that connection. It’s a natural part of who we are and it nurtures us.
