Change…it’s the only constant in our lives… we need to learn to embrace it with grace and amusement.Gandhi said…”If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do.”
Or as many of us know it as: “Be the change you wish to see in the world”
The original version was shortened and changed. Funny! If you think about change we all change, everything changes including this famous quote from Gandhi.
What is change? And why are most of us so nervous or resistant to change? If you observe yourself as you are reading this you will notice that something in you has changed from the moment before you read the quote above. If you were to take a snap shot of yourself from 3 minutes ago and take another one at this moment, you will see that you have changed slightly. Something inside of you shifted after you read Gandhi’s quote. Maybe you had an opinion or an idea or a belief about Gandhi’s words. It was simple, right, no big deal.
This is an example of how change affects us if we just allow ourselves to be in the flow of life. Changes are subtle, most are gradual and not earth shaking. Enjoy the change of season!
